Who Are We?

Brookings Gun Club is a clay target (shotgun only) range that is located just a few miles east of Brookings, South Dakota. The range has been open and operating in different capacities for over 50 years!

Hours of Operation:

May-September: Thursday Evenings from 6pm until dark

June-August: Sundays from 1:30-3:30pm

Saturday Sporting Clays: 10am-2pm (Dates below)

2026 Dates: June 20th, July 18th, August 8th (weekend before Brookings Health Shoot)

You do not need to be a member to shoot!

Driving Directions

Head East 2.5 miles on Highway 14 from Brookings (Exit 132 on I29)

We will be on the northeast corner, look for the signs!

Safety Rules

We do have a few rules, please look over them!

Eye and Ear Protection is mandatory on the firing lines and highly recommended anywhere on the range.

We are proud to offer high quality and professional clay target facilities.

We have:

4 Trap fields with concrete out to the 27 yard line
1 Skeet Field
1 5-stand field with 6 (soon to be 7) portable machines
Bonus archery block targets
50 round Sporting Clays Course utilizing the entire range

Even though we are open to the public, memberships to the club are welcome and encouraged! Membership includes benefits such as key access to the range after training and a discount on round prices!
